A desperate father once prayed the most honest prayer in the Gospels: “I do believe; help my unbelief!” Jesus healed his son anyway. Doubt brought to God is not the opposite of faith. It is faith, limping but moving.
These prayers are for wavering seasons, hard questions, and the faith that is smaller than a mustard seed but still counts.
Hebrews 11:1
Lord God, I cannot see yet what You have promised, and some days that is hard. Give me faith that is the assurance of what I hope for and the certainty of what I do not see. Like Abraham, help me go where You call, even when I do not know the way. Strengthen my faith where it is weak, and keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You said, “Have faith in God.” I bring You the mountain in front of me, and I ask You to move it. Help me pray boldly, with no doubt in my heart, trusting that You hear me. Teach me to ask for what You want, and to forgive anyone I hold something against, as You told Your disciples. I trust You with the answer. Amen.

Father, You so loved the world that You gave Your one and only Son, and that love reaches all the way to me. I believe in Jesus. Thank You that You did not send Him to condemn me, but to save me. When I doubt Your love, bring me back to these words. Thank You for the eternal life You give, and help me share this good news with someone who needs it. Amen.
