“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs doesn’t promise a map. It promises a guide, and most of Scripture’s travelers got one step of light at a time.
These prayers are for the decision you keep turning over, the crossroads with no obvious road, and the waiting between asking and knowing.
Psalm 32:8
Lord, I have been trying to find my own way, and I am tired. You promise to instruct me and teach me the way I should go, so I am listening. Give me counsel when I am unsure, and watch over me as I walk. Keep me from being stubborn, like a horse that has to be pulled by a bridle. Make me willing to be led by You. Amen.
