Praying the “I Am” Sayings of Jesus

Seven times in John’s Gospel, Jesus says “I am” — the way, the truth, the life; the vine; the door; the good shepherd; the light of the world; the bread of life; the resurrection. Each one is a claim, and each one is an invitation.

These prayers take Jesus’ own words and pray them back to him — one saying at a time.
