Prayers for Grief and Loss

Grief has no schedule and no script. The Psalms are full of mourning — God does not ask you to be finished with sorrow before you come to him. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

These prayers are for the funeral week and the ordinary Tuesday months later. Short enough to pray when words are hard, each rooted in a verse of real comfort.
