“Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, as for the Lord and not for men.” Scripture treats ordinary work as something you do in front of God, which means you can bring all of it to Him: the search, the interview, the first day, the hard boss.
These prayers ask for open doors and steady hands, and for trust when the bills come before the answer.
Proverbs 16:3
Lord, I need work, and You know it better than I do. I commit this search to You: every application, every phone call, every interview. Open the right door and close the wrong ones. Keep me from discouragement on the days I hear nothing. Provide for my needs while I wait, and help me trust that my plans are safe in Your hands. Amen.
