Isaiah 30:21
When you don't know what to do, pray with me. Lord, the path is unclear. The choices weigh on me. I have prayed, but I still feel lost. Holy Spirit, Counselor, walk beside me now. Behind me I hear Your voice. This is the way. Walk in it. Show me one small step. That is enough. Lord, I trust You. Amen.

Isaiah 30 rebukes a people who kept making plans and forming alliances without asking God for direction — running ahead on their own understanding. Verse 21 promises something different: a voice behind them saying, 'This is the way; walk in it,' guiding them back whenever they strayed to the right or left. The image is of someone following just behind a traveler, correcting course gently rather than shouting instructions from far ahead. In the New Testament, that guiding voice is understood as the Holy Spirit, described as Counselor precisely because he doesn't hand over a five-year plan — he speaks into the moment, one step at a time. This prayer is for the disorienting feeling of having prayed already and still not knowing what to do next.
