John 11:25 records Jesus' words to Martha outside the tomb of her brother Lazarus, days after his death, when even close friends assumed it was too late for anything but grief. Before raising Lazarus, Jesus makes the claim personal and present tense: 'I am the resurrection and the life,' not a future promise but a statement of who He is right now, for anyone who believes. The setting matters — this wasn't spoken in comfort but at a graveside, in front of a stone that had already been rolled over a body four days decayed. It's a declaration made precisely where hope looked most foolish. This is a prayer for whatever in your life feels dead, a relationship, a dream, a season, and for speaking Christ's own claim of life over it.
