About this picture

Harvest time in the fields of Bethlehem: Ruth kneels in a blue dress gathering stalks of barley, other young women fill baskets, harvesters tie sheaves, and a donkey waits with its cart. A stone farmhouse, a round stone well, water jars under a shady olive tree, a sickle and a sleeping dog complete the scene. Ruth 2 tells how Ruth, who had come to Bethlehem with her mother-in-law Naomi, went out to glean and happened to come to the field of Boaz.

Every round hides five differences, picked at random from about a dozen painted into this scene, so playing it again gives you a new set. Tap a difference on either picture to circle it; pinch or tap 🔍 to look closer. Free, with no download and no account.

The story

And Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, “Please let me go into the fields and glean heads of grain after someone in whose sight I may find favor.” “Go ahead, my daughter,” Naomi replied. So Ruth departed and went out into the field and gleaned after the harvesters. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was from the clan of Elimelech.Ruth 2:2–3 (BSB)
