About this picture
A busy building site on the plain of Shinar: a stepped tower of baked brick rises behind wooden scaffolding and ladders, workers carry bricks in baskets on their heads and shoulders, a brick kiln glows and smokes, a big pot of tar stands by the stacks of drying bricks, and ox carts and donkeys bring more. Genesis 11 tells how the people set out to build a city with a tower that reached to the heavens, to make a name for themselves, and how the LORD confused their language and scattered them over the earth.
Every round hides five differences, picked at random from about a dozen painted into this scene, so playing it again gives you a new set. Tap a difference on either picture to circle it; pinch or tap 🔍 to look closer. Free, with no download and no account.
The story
And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” So they used brick instead of stone, and tar instead of mortar. “Come,” they said, “let us build for ourselves a city with a tower that reaches to the heavens, that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of all the earth.” Then the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the sons of men were building.Genesis 11:3–5 (BSB)
