About this picture

Easter morning in a garden outside Jerusalem. The great round stone has been rolled away from the tomb, and an angel in shining white sits on it. Two women in blue and rose stand amazed, one carrying a jar of spices and the other a basket, and inside the tomb the linen cloths lie folded. White lilies, red poppies, olive and fig trees, a stone fountain, butterflies and a dropped soldier’s helmet and spear fill the garden, with the city walls and the sunrise behind. Matthew 28 tells how the angel told the women that Jesus had risen, just as He said.

Every round hides five differences, picked at random from about a dozen painted into this scene, so playing it again gives you a new set. Tap a difference on either picture to circle it; pinch or tap 🔍 to look closer. Free, with no download and no account.

The story

But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said! Come, see the place where He lay. Then go quickly and tell His disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him.’ See, I have told you.”Matthew 28:5–7 (BSB)
