About this picture
Noah’s ark stands on a green hillside under a cloudy sky. A long wooden ramp runs up to the door, and the animals walk up it two by two: elephants, giraffes, zebras, camels, lions, sheep, ducks, rabbits and tortoises, with doves and parrots overhead. Noah, white-bearded with his staff, waits at the foot of the ramp while his family carries baskets, jars and sacks of grain. Genesis 7 tells how they all went in, as God had commanded, and then the LORD shut him in.

The story
On that very day Noah entered the ark, along with his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and his wife, and the three wives of his sons— they and every kind of wild animal, livestock, crawling creature, bird, and winged creature. They came to Noah to enter the ark, two by two of every creature with the breath of life. And they entered, the male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.Genesis 7:13–16 (BSB)
