About this plan
Bible Movies films whole chapters of the Bible with every word of the Berean Standard Bible read aloud, so the film follows the text you have just read, verse by verse. Seeing a story after reading it helps it stay with you, and it is a good way to read with children or teenagers.
Each day: read the chapter here (about 4–5 minutes), then tap “Watch it on film.” Genesis 1 and Mark 1 play in full on this website; the other films play a one-minute preview here and in full in the Bible Movies app for iPhone and Android.
How to keep going
- Pray before you read. Ask God to open your eyes to His word. If you want words to start with, here is a prayer before reading the Bible.
- Same time, same place. Tie your reading to something you already do every day: the first coffee, the lunch break, the last ten minutes before bed.
- Write one line. After reading, jot down one verse that stood out and one sentence about it. Some people use S.O.A.P.: Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer.
- Read with someone. Share the link with a friend, your spouse or your small group and read the same plan. A short message (“Day 12 done!”) keeps both of you going.
- Missed a day? Keep going. Read today’s reading and catch up on a weekend, or just carry on. The aim is not a perfect checklist but time with God in His word.
Questions
Are the films word for word?
Yes. Each film is one chapter of the Bible, read word for word from the Berean Standard Bible. The day’s title is the film’s title.
Can children use this plan?
Yes. The chapters take about 4–5 minutes to read, and watching together is a good way for a family to see the story. Genesis 6–9 (Noah) and Mark 4–6 (the storm, Legion, five loaves) are favorites.
What comes after Mark 14?
New chapters are added to Bible Movies regularly. Read Mark 15–16 here to finish the Gospel, then try the Gospels in 30 days.
