Questions

About the Christmas season

Is there a word-for-word movie of the Christmas story?

Yes, coming before Christmas. Season Three of Bible Movies films the Christmas story from Luke 1, Matthew 1, Luke 2, Matthew 2, and every verse you hear is spoken exactly as written in the Berean Standard Bible, with the verse on screen as it is read. All four episodes come to the app together.

Where is the Christmas story in the Bible?

Two Gospels tell it. Luke 1–2: the angel Gabriel's visits, Mary's song, the birth in Bethlehem, the shepherds, Simeon and Anna. Matthew 1–2: the family line of Jesus, Joseph's dream, the magi and the escape to Egypt. Mark begins with John the Baptist and John with the Word who became flesh, so neither tells the birth.

In what order should we watch?

In story order, the way the season is arranged: Luke 1, Matthew 1, Luke 2, Matthew 2. The angel comes to Mary, Joseph has his dream, Jesus is born and the shepherds come, and then the magi. Four short films, one chapter each.

What else is in the app now?

Genesis 1–11 and the Gospel of Mark, chapter by chapter, word for word. Genesis 1 and Mark 1 are free in full, along with the whole Bible to read, study guides and guided plans.

What comes after Christmas?

The Gospel of John, one chapter per episode.
