The Bible story
Moses and the Ten Commandments
Three months after leaving Egypt, the Israelites camped at the foot of Mount Sinai. God spoke the Ten Commandments to His people from the mountain and gave Moses two tablets of stone written by His own finger. Moses carried them down the mountain to the people.
When the LORD had finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
