The Bible story
Manna from Heaven
In the desert the hungry Israelites grumbled that they had nothing to eat. Every morning God covered the ground with thin flakes of bread from heaven, which they called manna, and in the evening He sent quail. Each family gathered just enough for the day, and twice as much before the Sabbath.
When the Israelites saw it, they asked one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was.
