God Calls Samuel

The boy Samuel served the LORD under Eli the priest. One night, lying down near the ark of God, he heard someone call his name and ran to Eli, three times. Eli understood it was the LORD calling and told Samuel how to answer.

Then the LORD came and stood there, calling as before, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant is listening.”
