The Bible story
An Angel Frees Peter from Prison
King Herod had Peter arrested and kept in prison, chained between two soldiers, while the church prayed hard for him. The night before his trial, an angel woke Peter, the chains fell off his wrists, and he walked out past the guards and through the iron gate, which opened by itself. He went to the house where the believers were praying, and they could hardly believe it was him.
Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He tapped Peter on the side and woke him up, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his wrists.
