The Bible story

Fire from Heaven on Mount Carmel

Elijah challenged 450 prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel: the god who answered by fire would be God. Baal’s prophets called out all day and nothing happened. Elijah had his altar soaked with water and prayed, and the fire of the LORD fell and burned it all up.

Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and the dust, and it licked up the water in the trench.
