The Bible story
King Solomon’s Temple
King Solomon, David’s son, built a temple for the LORD in Jerusalem out of stone, cedar and gold. When it was finished, the priests brought the ark inside, and Solomon stood before the whole assembly, spread out his hands toward heaven and prayed. The glory of the LORD filled the temple.
Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the whole assembly of Israel, spread out his hands toward heaven.
