How to play

Press anywhere on the picture and pull back, the way you would stretch a sling. The dotted line shows where the stone will start to fly. Let go to sling it. Goliath’s bronze armor and shield turn stones aside, so aim for his forehead. You have five stones, and he keeps walking closer.

The story

And David took his staff in his hand, selected five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag. And with his sling in hand, he approached the Philistine.1 Samuel 17:40 (BSB)
But David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.1 Samuel 17:45 (BSB)

David wasn’t the biggest or the strongest. He trusted God, and he had practised with his sling out in the fields with his sheep. A good story to talk about after a round: what giants are we facing, and who do we trust?
