How to play

Seven days, seven laps, one great shout

  1. March in step. Drums beat and marching circles roll toward the ring. Tap the screen, click, or press the space bar as each one reaches the ring. On time is “Perfect”.
  2. Keep silent. Joshua told the people not to make a sound until the day he said to shout. When a hushed circle 🤫 comes along, don’t tap. Let it pass.
  3. Blow the horns. Long golden notes are the priests’ rams’ horns. Press when one arrives and keep holding until it ends.
  4. Day seven. Seven laps in a row, faster each time. Then hold the long blast of the horn, and shout. Tap as fast as you can, or shout into your microphone.

The story in Joshua 6

March around the city with all the men of war, circling the city one time. Do this for six days.Joshua 6:3 (BSB)
Have seven priests carry seven rams’ horns in front of the ark. Then on the seventh day, march around the city seven times, while the priests blow the horns.Joshua 6:4 (BSB)
So when the rams’ horns sounded, the people shouted. When they heard the blast of the horn, the people gave a great shout, and the wall collapsed. Then all the people charged straight into the city and captured it.Joshua 6:20 (BSB)

Look for the scarlet cord in one window of the wall. It belongs to Rahab, who hid the two spies. Joshua kept his promise and spared her and her family (Joshua 6:25).

For Sunday school, youth group and family night

Put the game on a projector or a TV and let the whole room march along: one person taps, everyone else stomps in time. When the shout comes, choose “Shout into the microphone” and let the room be as loud as it wants. The louder you shout, the faster the bar fills. The microphone only measures how loud the room is. Nothing is recorded, and no sound leaves your device.

A round takes about three minutes, which leaves plenty of time to read Joshua 6 together and talk about why God asked his people to march in silence for six days before they shouted.
