The Bible story
The Last Supper
On the night before He died, Jesus shared the Passover meal with His disciples in an upper room in Jerusalem. He took bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave it to them, and after supper He gave them the cup. Christians remember this meal at the Lord’s Supper, or Communion.
And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
