Palm Sunday
A few days before the Passover, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. Crowds spread their cloaks and branches on the road, and the people ahead of Him and behind Him shouted Hosanna. John’s Gospel tells that they took palm branches and went out to meet Him.
The crowds that went ahead of Him and those that followed were shouting: “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest!”
