The Bible story
Jesus Prays in Gethsemane
After the supper, Jesus went with His disciples to the Mount of Olives, to the garden called Gethsemane. Deeply troubled, He knelt down and prayed to His Father, while the disciples fell asleep. An angel from heaven appeared and strengthened Him.
“Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.”
