The Bible story
Baby Moses in the Basket
Pharaoh ordered every Hebrew baby boy to be thrown into the Nile. Moses’ mother hid him for three months, then laid him in a basket among the reeds by the river while his sister watched. Pharaoh’s daughter found him, had pity on him, and raised him as her own son.
When she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the little boy was crying. So she had compassion on him and said, “This is one of the Hebrew children.”
