The Bible story
A large crowd had followed Jesus to a hillside, and there was nothing for them to eat. A boy had five small barley loaves and two fish; Jesus gave thanks and handed out as much as everyone wanted. About five thousand men were fed, and twelve baskets of leftovers were gathered.
Then Jesus took the loaves and the fish, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted.
