Jesus Calms the Storm

One evening Jesus and His disciples set out across the Sea of Galilee, and He fell asleep in the boat. A fierce storm came up and the waves broke over the boat, so the frightened disciples woke Him. Jesus spoke to the wind and the waves, and it became perfectly calm.

Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the sea. “Silence!” He commanded. “Be still!” And the wind died down, and it was perfectly calm.
