The Bible story
Baby Jesus in the Manger
While Mary and Joseph were in Bethlehem, the time came for her baby to be born. She wrapped her firstborn Son in cloths and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
And she gave birth to her firstborn, a Son. She wrapped Him in swaddling cloths and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
— Luke 2:7 (BSB)
The ox and the donkey come from Christmas tradition, not from Luke.
