Isaiah 43:19
Lord, I feel scraped dry — this season took everything, and I was sure nothing good could grow in me again. Thank You that the very ground I gave up on is where You open a living spring. Do a new thing in me. Let me drink, and let me grow again. My hope is in You. Amen.

Isaiah 43 speaks to the people of Israel in exile, far from home and stripped of the temple, the land, and the life they knew. Into that barrenness, God announces he is 'doing a new thing' — making a way through the wilderness and rivers in the desert, the very landscape of their captivity and loss. It is a promise that God's restoring work does not wait for better circumstances; it breaks out precisely in the driest, most hopeless-looking ground. The image would have struck exiles as almost impossible — actual rivers in an actual desert — which is the point: what looks unable to sustain life is exactly where God says he will bring it. This is a prayer for a season that has taken everything, asking God to bring growth back to ground you thought was dead.
