Simeon Holds Baby Jesus in the Temple
When the time came, Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord. An old man named Simeon had been promised by the Holy Spirit that he would see the Messiah before he died. He took the baby in his arms and praised God, and the old prophetess Anna gave thanks too.
Simeon took Him in his arms and blessed God.
