How to play
Choose a clay jar, a basket or an alabaster jar. Tap a flower in the tray and it goes into the jar where there is room; drag it wherever you like. Tap a stem to turn it around, send it behind the others, or take it out. When you have at least three stems, press Done and your arrangement becomes a card with a verse on it, to keep or to send.
In Flower orders, eight people each need flowers for a day in their life: a funeral, a wedding, a new baby, a son come home. Every flower says something (the lily speaks of peace, the olive branch of hope), and the order tells you what it should say. Three stars for saying it with at least three fitting flowers, in a full jar that looks good from the front.
The flowers of the Bible
Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin.Matthew 6:28 (BSB)
The next day Moses entered the Tent of the Testimony and saw that Aaron’s staff, representing the house of Levi, had sprouted, put forth buds, blossomed, and produced almonds.Numbers 17:8 (BSB)
And behold, the dove returned to him in the evening with a freshly plucked olive leaf in her beak.Genesis 8:11 (BSB)
The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.Isaiah 40:8 (BSB)
Also in the tray: the rose of Sharon (Song of Songs 2:1), palm branches (John 12:13), pomegranate blossom (Song of Songs 6:11), hyssop (Psalm 51:7), myrtle (Isaiah 55:13), wheat (John 12:24), the mustard plant (Matthew 13:31), the vine (John 15:5), apple blossom (Song of Songs 2:3), henna (Song of Songs 1:14), nard (Mark 14:3), the papyrus reed (Isaiah 42:3), willows of the brook (Leviticus 23:40), the fig (Matthew 24:32), the cedar of Lebanon (Psalm 92:12), rockrose (Isaiah 35:1) and acacia (Isaiah 41:19). The red wildflower is the crown anemone that covers the hills of Galilee every spring; many think it is the flower Jesus meant by “the lilies of the field.”
